Arts leadership Outline - Unit 2 Part A
One of my units for performing arts was to do a piece for children theatre and we made piece for the age range of 5-6 year olds and we performed our piece to them, we also made a dance piece relating to the drama piece , so we have to go to the primary school to perform our dance piece since they came to our school to watch the first piece. We thought it was a good opportunity to have a workshop with the kids after the performance because it can help us develop our leadership skills.
So the leadership skills I wanted to focus on was planning and leading a workshop because if you are to be in charge of something you should be able to plan your work and organise everything you need. This also helps me focus on the leadership skill of taking responsibility. And the my responsibilities are;

- planning the workshop.
- planning the activities ( the order it goes in) .
- planning certain warm ups suitable for the children .
- booking venue
- getting permission.
I wanted to be in charge of planning so we made a mind map talking about leadership roles and how they were important.
